essay bro
The 5 mile long route to Rough Slot Canyon
is NOT a trail. It is the only legal way
I know of to visit this amazing place.
It is a dramatic-sculpted slot canyon.... a very worthy
destination. Not only is this one of the
most beautiful slot canyons I have ever seen, but it has a natural arch 200’
overhead and a 25’ high waterfall. The
only way I know to scramble up above the falls is to climb around the entire
slot canyon on the north side...up and over and back down to the creek bed
above the slot. It involves ropes to
traverse the entire slot, but hiking and scrambling will experience most of it.
